However, they need to be on the official <a href=\"http:\/\/www.welfare.ie\/en\/downloads\/RegisterOfSolemnisers.pdf\">register of solemnisers<\/a> for the wedding to be legally binding. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re doing a religious wedding (notably Roman Catholic) you might also have to follow a wedding preparation course. This course needs to be done before the actual wedding. It needs to be done at least 3 months before the\nactual wedding. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Wedding Celebration Venue<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the venue\nwhere the celebration takes place after the ceremony. Book it as early as\npossible! There are only so many weekends in a year and venues fill up fast. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To check:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Is the price per guest or for the room as a whole? (Check for seated numbers &amp; standing numbers.) <\/li><li>How long does the rental last?<\/li><li>Will they be having other events on the same day?<\/li><li>Do they have designated (mandatory) suppliers? <\/li><li>When are the quiet hours?<\/li><li>Do they have a dance floor\/dance area? <\/li><li>Are you in charge of the cleaning? <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In Ireland, hotels\nare by far the most popular choice for weddings. While they can be slightly more\nexpensive, they are convenient as they provide the space, the catering and a place\nto stay for the night. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pro-tip<\/strong>: Most venues will have a list of recommended\nsuppliers. Ask them about it! You don\u2019t have to limit yourself to these but it\u2019s\na good place to start because it means they\u2019re used to working together. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Catering <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Catering is a big part of the wedding budget.
