Teresa runs the Party Mirror which is an interactive photo booth for creating memories at all types of parties and events.  We asked her about her business, background and why she loves what she does.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where are you from?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019m from Tipperary but I now live in Leixlip.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Did you always want to have your own business?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

My family moved from China to Ireland in the 1980s and opened up a Chinese restaurant.\u00a0 It was the only one in the town and always had a queue out of the door.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I think this must have helped inspire me because when I was a child I bought a tub of jelly sweets from the local Cash and Carry with my pocket money and converted our garage into an impromptu shop.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I delivered leaflets to all the neighbours and before long I had my first customers!\u00a0 So I think I\u2019ve always had the entrepreneurial instinct in me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How did you get into the photobooth business?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

My aunt passed away very young and it made\nme think that life is too short – I had been working in financial services but wanted\nto do something different and to be able to spend more time with my kids.  I also wanted the flexibility to set my own\nrules and do my own thing so I was looking for a small business idea.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I came across the Party Mirror and thought\nwhat a great idea for a party and I wished I\u2019d had it at my wedding.  Then I thought it could be a great business\ntoo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why do you think photobooths are so popular?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

There is often a professional photographer\nat an event taking formal photographs. \nBut people love fun, silly photos too. \nThey enjoy posing with props and capturing a totally different kind of\nmoment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The other thing is that people rarely print\nphotos these days \u2013 everything is digital – so they love to actually go home\nwith a physical memento of the party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is the Party Mirror and what do you provide?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Party Mirror is a state-of-the-art photo booth which allows you to personalise your photos and print them there and then.\u00a0 You can add emojis and even sign your own photos before they are printed.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Corporate events a company logo can also be added to all prints.\u00a0 The quality of the prints is very high and I also bring a backdrop and lights as well as a nice range of props.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What makes your offering different?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

As I said, the Party Mirror is a top of the\nrange product but it\u2019s not just about the tech \u2013 I\u2019m the face of the Party\nMirror and I like to go the extra mile in customising things as far as possible\nto make it really personal – because every event is different.  Ultimately, it\u2019s how you interact with people\nthat counts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why\ndo you enjoy what you do?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

I enjoy helping people create memories.\u00a0 I love seeing the expressions on their faces and then the excitement while the captured moment is printing.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although you can see the shot before it\u2019s printed, there is still that wonderful sense of anticipation as to how it will turn out on paper. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Does\nthe Party Mirror appeal to kids or adults most?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Definitely both.  Kids love signing the photos and choosing\nemojis etc.  Adults just love having\nphotos taken with their besties because these days we all have such busy lives\nthat we often rarely see many of our friends. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you could take a photo of anyone who would it be?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Daniel O\u2019Donnell.  He seems like a real gent but I\u2019d love to see\nfor myself what his X factor is \u2013 so I\u2019d say it would be fun to have a selfie\nwith him in the flesh!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tell us something we wouldn\u2019t know about you<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

I was an extra in Father Ted along with all\nmy family.  I\u2019d say there weren\u2019t too\nmany Asians involved apart from ourselves and we had a great day out!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What are your plans for the future?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

I have another business idea which is\ncomplementary to the Party Mirror.  Watch\nthis space!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why do you like PartyWizz?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s a great source for finding\nentertainment due to the variety on offer. \nAnd for businesses like mine, it provides great exposure without having\nto spend time on marketing \u2013 freeing me to do other things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
